Office and hospital corridors
PLAFOMETAL-EM-120 is a system that can be adapted to the dimensions of corridors. The D11s and D11t expanded metal panels are self-supporting from wall to wall, avoiding the use of suspended grids in plenums cluttered with numerous distribution networks. They create an elegant reveal joint with the wall. Their robustness, combined with a wide opening from below, will facilitate maintenance phases throughout the building's life.

Description
- Self-supporting ceiling made up of expanded metal panels hung on a concealed edge profile forming an open gap joint between the panel ends and the wall
- Self-supporting steel panels with jointed edges
- The panels are equipped with notches at their ends for suspension on the structure
- The edge profile consists of a fixing range to be attached to the wall and a hanging profile to be offset and fixed under the wing of the range according to the length of the panel between notches. It allows the open joint formed to absorb alignment deviations with the wall
- Acoustic enhancements available as an option

Installation
- The direction in which light enters through the mesh depends on its installation direction, visually identifiable by its tilt.
- Depending on the desired visual effect, panels can be installed in the same direction or every other one inverted.

Opening
Access to the plenum by vertical push then lateral translation to escape the hanging profile. Clearance from below by tilting it to one side.

Resistance to disinfection chemicals
Our metal ceilings are resistant to sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, hydrogen peroxide 6%, or ethanol 70% disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).

Active fire protection
According to standard EN 12845
- If sprinklers are installed above the open cell suspended panel, the total open flat surface area, including lighting fixtures, must not be less than 70% of the flat surface
- In practice, a void percentage higher than 80% is commonly requested for panel elements
