Our Design Office of experts is at your disposal to support you in the conceptualization, development and implementation of tailor-made metal ceiling solutions, adapted to your needs.

1. Design

  • Project definition with the project owner
    A construction site is generally ordered by a project owner, who has specific prerogatives in the management of his project.
    He works with a team of "principals" (an acoustician, an architect and an economist), all capable of advising him in the different stages of construction.
    Plafometal intervenes from this first stage by working with the project owner's team to define the precise needs and guide the project in the most relevant direction.

    From this first contact, our Customer Service team is responsible for transmitting the project owner's request to our Metal Ceilings Business Manager (CAPM).
    The two teams share the work: the CAPM is in charge of the "Project" part, while the Clinets Service will focus with the Design Office on the "Implementation".

    Here, the objective of the "Project" team is to gather as much information as possible concerning the construction and the different stages of the project: on the building, the regulatory performance requirements, the provisional schedule of the site, etc.
    The information will then be transmitted to the Implementation team.

2.Request for proposals

  • Opening the study file
    With all this information, our Production team will then take charge in order to propose tailor-made solutions, adapted to the needs of the project.
    Our Design Office will notably begin the production of explanatory plans, offer design assistance, validate the feasibility of the project, etc.
    Our Estimation Office will be responsible for estimating price requests for “non-standard” products.

    By providing a solution adapted to the technical nature of the site while working with the architect, Plafometal participates in the development of the Special Technical Clauses Book (STCB) of the project owner.

    Selection of the site stakeholders
    The project owner then launches a call for tenders to find a project manager, responsible for managing and implementing the project using the STCB.

    Subsequently, a second call for tenders is issued, this time by the project manager to select the actors corresponding to the different lots of the STCB: walls, ceilings, or floors for example.
    Plafometal intervenes in this stage by offering the companies selected for the project a wide range of technical solutions for metal ceilings.

3. Implementation

  • Daily support
    Regular meetings are set up with the customer.
    Our Project and Production teams work together to support them in taking their order, taking into account their constraints (deadlines and packaging for example).
    The Sales Director then validates the elements of the project. In addition, the CAPM is available to the customer throughout the project.

    Between order processing and shipping
    Plafometal ensures optimized and rapid processing of customer orders thanks to a supervised and secure ordering procedure.

    As soon as the project becomes concrete and the order is ready, it is the Production team that takes care of its processing according to the type of product. At the same time, an internal meeting is organized to coordinate the manufacturing of the products and their shipping.
    The company then offers to help installation companies in the installation of metal ceilings on the site.

4. Long-term monitoring and assessments

  • Plafometal offers two types of monitoring in its support:

    External monitoring: with a pre-closing alert point triggered by the CAPM, with the aim of setting up a clear retrospective planning of the construction site.

    Internal monitoring: with a control of order quantities, compliance with schedules as well as overall coordination of the different stages of the construction site.

    At the end of the project, the Customer Service organizes a closing meeting to draw up a report.
