Swing-down island suspended on J profile with Steel B island
Structure the volume of the ceiling as an acoustic complement in open-plan officesPLAFOMETAL-FH-110 is a ceiling acoustic island system. The STEEL B islands easily align with a supporting structure between the facade joineries, allowing full-height partitioning between islands. Their opening will facilitate maintenance phases in their heating and cooling version throughout the building's lifespan.
Selection guide
- Acoustic comfort
The advantages of the system
- Acoustic: excellent acoustic properties
- Aesthetic: suitable for alignment with facade grids
- Installation: alignment of elements on continuous J-profiles
- Access: swing-down panel, suitable for a reversible radiant ceiling
Description
- Acoustic ceiling island composed of one or more panels aligned on a semi-visible structure
- Steel panels with straight edges and sharp angles
- The panels have on their longitudinal sides an inner raised edge with a hook for suspension on the structure and swinging to one side or the other
- The panels are filled with a specific mineral insulation for high acoustic performance
- The supporting frame consists of transversal profiles supporting, at their ends, longitudinally running J-shaped hook profiles for hanging the panels and ensuring their alignment
- Reversible radiant island version available

Indoor air quality
Class A+ for all products:
- Non-perforated
- From the ALPHA PLUS range, with specific encapsulated insulation
Class A for all products from the ALPHA PLUS range, with specific surface insulation.
-
Sound absorption
According to standard EN ISO 11,654
- High equivalent absorption area (Aeq): ratio m² sabin / m² of the product up to 1.8 in speech frequencies.
- Acoustic performance subject to chosen perforation and suspension height
The Aeq - defined as the product of the acoustic absorption coefficient and the measured panel surface - is an imaginary area given in m² with an α sabin absorption coefficient of 1 per frequency band.
Refer to the table in the brochure Acoustic metal islands or contact us for more information. -
Acoustic complement
- Offre ALPHA PLUS: specific acoustic insulation surfaced with a veil or encapsulated in a PE film
Refer to the Acoustic page in the Product Catalog's annexes for more details.

Corrosion resistance
Indoor ceiling
- Class B according to standard EN 13964
- Hanging and fixing to supports must be selected according to the desired class
Refer to the Implementation page in the Product Catalog Annex for more details.
-
Cleanability
By nature, our metal ceilings require minimal maintenance. However, various types of cleaning are possible. Refer to the Maintenance page in the Product Catalog Annex for more details, including advanced dry steam cleaning.
-
Reservations, integrations
Customized factory cut on request.
-
Opening
Vertical tipping of the panel followed by lateral movement to escape the hook profile. The panel swings down and remains suspended on the opposite profile.
-
Resistance to disinfection chemicals
Our metal ceilings are resistant to 2.5% sodium hypochlorite, 6% hydrogen peroxide, or 70% ethanol disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards). Please refer to the Maintenance page in the Product Catalog Annexes for more details.
