Selection guide

  • Acoustic comfort

The advantages of the system

  • Acoustics: excellent acoustic properties
  • Aesthetics: suitable for alignment with facade grids
  • Installation: simple and economical on studs equipped with hanging end caps
  • Opening: swing-down panel, suitable for reversible radiating ceiling

Description

  • Acoustic ceiling island made up of one or several panels simply hooked on transverse furrings
  • Steel panels with straight edges and sharp angles
  • The panels are equipped on their longitudinal sides with an inner raised edge with a hook allowing them to be suspended on the structure and swung to one side or the other
  • The panels are filled with a mineral insulation specific to high acoustic performance
  • The transverse furrings are fitted with end caps allowing for the attachment of the panels

Performance

  • Light reflection

    Up to 87%

  • Indoor air quality

    Class A+ for all products:

    • Non-perforated
    • From the ALPHA PLUS range, with specific bagged insulation

Class A for all products from the ALPHA PLUS range, with specific surfaced insulation

  • Sound absorption

According to standard EN ISO 11 654:

    • Significant Equivalent Absorption Area (Aeq): ratio of m² sabin / m² of the product up to 1.8 in speech frequencies.
    • Acoustic performance subject to selected perforation and suspension height.

The Aeq - defined as the product of the acoustic absorption coefficient and the surface area of the measured panel - is an imaginary area given in m² with an absorption coefficient α sabin of 1 per frequency band.

Refer to the table in the brochure Acoustic metal islands or contact us for more information.

  • Acoustic complement

    • Offer ALPHA PLUS: specific acoustic insulation surfaced with a veil or encapsulated in a PE film
    • Refer to the Acoustic page in the Product Catalog appendices for more details.

  • Corrosion resistance

    Indoor ceiling

    • Class B according to standard EN 13964
    • The suspensions and fixings to the supports are to be selected according to the desired class

Refer to the Implementation page in the Product Catalog Annexes for more details.

  • Cleanability

By nature, our metal ceilings require minimal maintenance. However, various types of cleaning are still possible. Please refer to the Maintenance page in the Product Catalog appendix for more details, including advanced dry steam cleaning.

  • Reservations, integrations

Customized factory cutting available upon request.

  • Opening

Swing down by vertical push of the panel then lateral translation to escape the end caps. The panel tilts and remains suspended from the opposite end caps.

  • Resistance to disinfection chemicals

Our metal ceilings are resistant to sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, hydrogen peroxide 6%, or ethanol 70% disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).Refer to the Maintenance page in the Product Catalog Annexes for more details.
