Sliding ceiling on exposed profile with Translabac panel
hospital corridors with high traffic
BESPOKE CEILINGS-CC-230 is a system adaptable to the dimensions of corridors. TRANSLABAC panels are self-supporting from wall to wall, avoiding the use of suspended structures in plenums crowded with numerous distribution networks. Their stepped edge profile forms an elegant gap joint with the wall, allowing them to slide above the existing ceiling without obstructing the flow of people during maintenance phases throughout the life of the building.
Selection guide
- Acoustic comfort
The advantages of the system
- Aesthetic: exposed grid with off-set edge and hollow joint to absorb alignment deviations with the wall for a perfectly straight finish
- Opening: open position with sliding panel in the plenum to not obstruct people's circulation
- Acoustic: high correction, absorption coefficient αw up to 1 (NRC = 1)
- Insulation: good air and noise tightness
Description
- Sliding opening ceiling consisting of panels hung on an exposed profile fixed to the wall, forming a closed crevice joint with it
- Self-supporting steel panels with continuous edges and sharp angles
- The panels are equipped with a Z-hook-upturned edge (BRZC) at their ends to be flush with the framework
- The edge profile consists of a take-up section to be fixed to the wall and a hook-up profile to be shifted and fixed under the flange of the take-up section according to the notch length of the panels. It allows the crevice joint thus formed to absorb alignment deviations with the wall
- Optional acoustic enhancements

Opening
Access to the plenum by vertical push, then translation and removal of the panel on the upper wings of the recovery trim. The panel then slides in the plenum above the panels left in place.
-
Resistance to disinfection chemicals
Our metal ceilings are resistant to 2.5% sodium hypochlorite, 6% hydrogen peroxide, or 70% ethanol disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).
Refer to the Maintenance page in the Products Catalog Annex for more details. -
