PLAFOMETAL-EM-220 is a system with a strong aesthetic appeal. The D92s and D92t expanded metal panels are self-supporting and lockable between carriers, and the large hollow joint left on the periphery gives the ceiling an airy design. Their durability, combined with a large opening from below without the need to undress them in the plenum, will facilitate maintenance phases throughout the life of the building.

Description
- Wall-to-wall suspended ceiling made of expanded metal panels hooked on carriers forming a wide hollow joint
- Self-supporting panels in steel or aluminum (outdoor)
- The panels have an interior raised hook (BRIC) at their ends for hanging on the grid
- The carriers are made of steel and have inserts for screwing a plate to lock each end of the panels face to face

Installation
- The direction light enters through the mesh depends on its orientation, visually recognizable by its tilt.
- Depending on the desired visual effect, panels can be installed in the same direction or every other one reversed.

Cleanability
By nature, our metal ceilings require minimal maintenance. However, various types of cleaning are possible. Please refer to the Maintenance section in the Product Catalog Appendices for more details.

Opening
Access to the plenum by unlocking the plate with the appropriate tool, then vertical push and lateral translation to escape from the hanging carrier. Clearance from below by inclining it to one side.

Resistance to disinfection chemicals
Our metal ceilings are resistant to sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, hydrogen peroxide 6%, or ethanol 70% disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).

Active fire protection
According to EN 12845
- If sprinklers are installed above the open-cell suspended panel, the total open flat surface area of it, including lighting fixtures, must not be less than 70% of the flat surface
- In practice, a void percentage greater than 80% is commonly requested for panel elements
