A wide variety of spaces requiring more durable modular panels
PLAFOMETAL-EM-260 is a system suitable for desired modular panel surfaces that are economical yet durable. The flat expanded metal panels D0, with peripheral folds D1s and recessed D8-E15 and D8-E24, are installed directly on exposed T grids, making it an easy-to-install standard solution. Their robustness combined with easy handling will facilitate maintenance phases throughout the building's lifecycle.

Description
- Wall-to-wall closed suspended ceiling composed of metal expanded panels laid on a conventional T-grid on all four sides
- Steel or aluminum panels with different edge finishes compared to the grid: flat without edge (D0), straight edge (D1s), or recessed edge (D8-E15 and D8-E24)
- Compatible only with T24 grid: D0, D1s, and D8-E24
- Compatible with T15 grid: D8-E15 only
- For a better finish in the panel module corners, prefer T-grids with Lay-On hooks without covering the flange on the transverse profile

Installation
- The direction of light entry through the mesh depends on its laying direction, visually recognizable by its inclination.
- Depending on the desired visual effect, the panels can be installed in the same direction or every other one can be reversed.

Cleanability

Resistance to disinfection chemicals
Our metal ceilings are resistant to 2.5% sodium hypochlorite, 6% hydrogen peroxide, or 70% ethanol disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).

Active fire protection
According to standard EN 12845
- If sprinklers are installed above the open cell suspended panel, the total open flat surface, including lighting fixtures, must not be less than 70% of the flat surface.
- In practice, a percentage of void greater than 80% is commonly required for panel elements
