Selection guide

  • Acoustic comfort
  • Active fire protection

The advantages of the system

  • Aesthetics: panels with a discreet and uniform appearance
  • Accessibility: removable from below for access to the plenum via a specific tool
  • Acoustic performance: high sound correction, absorption coefficient αw up to 1 (NRC = 1)

Description

  • Closed suspended ceiling made of clipped expanded metal panels on hidden carriers
  • Clip-In steel panels with seamless edges
  • Standard installation: the secondary T carrier onto which the panel clips is connected to a primary U carrier by a very simple linking hanger that allows for easy adjustment of spacings between carriers.
  • Two alternative installation options: secondary T connected to primary U by a steel wire bracket; secondary T directly suspended, without a primary.
  • Optional acoustic enhancements

Appearance

  • Expanded mesh

    Dimensions

    • Mesh: Geometry WL x WD - L x Th
    • Panel: width in the WL direction of the mesh, length in the WD direction

    Installation

    • The direction of light entering through the mesh depends on its installation orientation, visually identifiable by its tilt.
    • Depending on the desired visual effect, panels can be installed in the same direction or alternated every two panels.

Performance

  • Indoor air quality

    Class A+ for all products:

    • Not filled
    • From the ALPHA PLUS range, with specific encapsulated insulation

Class A for all products from the ALPHA PLUS range, with specific surfaced insulation

  • Sound absorption

According to the EN ISO 11 654 standard

    • αw up to 1 (NRC = 1) with the ALPHA PLUS range

Refer to the table in the Acoustic Metal Ceilings brochure.

  • Acoustic complement

ALPHA PLUS offer: specific acoustic insulation covered with a veil or enclosed in a PE film.
Refer to the Acoustic page in the Product Catalog Appendices for more details.

  • Corrosion resistance

    Ceiling indoors

    • Class B for standard steel substructures according to standard EN 13964
    • Corrosion resistance C1 according to EN 12944 for standard steel MESH panels (not covered by EN 13964)
    • Corrosion resistance 2a according to EN 13096 for aluminum MESH panels (not covered by EN 13964)
    • Suspensions and fixings to supports are to be selected according to the desired class

Refer to the page Implementation in the Product Catalog Appendices for more details.

  • Cleanability

By nature, our metal ceilings require very little maintenance. However, various types of cleaning are still possible. Refer to the Maintenance section of the Product Catalog annexes for more details.

  • Reservations, integrations

Customized factory cutting available upon request.

  • Opening

Access to the plenum by unclipping the ceiling from below using a specific disassembly tool.

  • Resistance to disinfection chemicals

Our metal ceilings are resistant to 2.5% sodium hypochlorite, 6% hydrogen peroxide, or 70% ethanol disinfectants (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).

Refer to the Maintenance page in the Product Catalog Appendices for more details.

  • Active fire protection

According to the EN 12845 standard

    • If sprinklers are installed above the open cell ceiling panel, the total open flat surface area, including lighting fixtures, must not be less than 70% of the flat surface
    • In practice, a void percentage of over 80% is commonly requested for panel elements

    Ceiling void percentage

    • Over 70%: RB35, RB55, RB55 XL, RB75
    • Over 80%: RB55 XL
  • Reaction to fire

    A2-s1, d0
