PLAFOMETAL-OC-210 is a linear cellular ceiling system concealing the plenum from indirect view while allowing air and light to flow. It features a strong directional appearance desired for long ceiling surfaces. Grilam I panels are hooked onto an invisible integrated grid blending seamlessly with the grid elements.

The advantages of the system

  • Aesthetic: reinforced linear appearance. The integrated grid blends in with the panel and offers a choice of ceiling color (depending on quantity). The whole setup conceals the plenum from indirect view while maintaining a sense of space and light.

  • Practicality: grid and panels delivered in a kit.
  • Accessibility: swing-down option on semi-concealed carrier Grilam B.

Description


  • Linear cellular ceiling made up of grid panels installed on an integrated frame
  • The panel consists of vertical U-shaped aluminum elements (double skin) forming a rectangular perforated mesh with a directional appearance due to the upward offset of the transverse elements. These are equipped with hooks at their ends
  • The frame is made with the same longitudinal U-shaped elements as the grid and equipped with notches to hook the panels
  • The frame/panel assembly of the same material allows for a choice of ceiling color as needed. It is possible to have the upper transverse elements in black for a more reinforced linear appearance

    By nature, our metal ceilings require little maintenance. However, different types of cleaning are possible. Please refer to the Maintenance page in the Product Catalog appendices for more details.

    Recessed supports for spotlights, sprinklers, or other fixtures available upon request.

  • Opening

    The panels can be lifted upwards for occasional access to the plenum.
    Possibility of swing-down on semi-concealed grid system Grilam B upon request.

  • Resistance to disinfection chemicals

    Our metal ceilings are resistant to 2.5% sodium hypochlorite disinfectants, 6% hydrogen peroxide, or 70% ethanol (according to EN 12720 and ISO 11998 standards).Refer to the [Maintenance](https://www.plafometal.fr/conditionnement-mise-en-oeuvre-maintenance-an…) page in the Product Catalog Annexes for more details.

  • Active fire protection

    According to the EN 12845 standard:

    • If sprinklers are installed above the open cell suspended ceiling, the total open flat surface area, including lighting fixtures, must not be less than 70% of the flat surface.
    • In practice, a void percentage greater than 80% is commonly requested for ceiling elements.

      • Percentage of void in the ceiling:

    • Greater than 70% for all meshes of all models
    • Greater than 80% for all meshes of the Grilam i5 and from the 200 x 75 mm mesh size for the Grilam i9
