Chemical resistance

Metal ceilings are resistant* to sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, hydrogen peroxide 6%, or ethanol 70% disinfectants. However, we recommend certain disinfectants depending on the type of ceiling:

• Sodium hypochlorite 2.5%: no visual changes on all ceilings
• Hydrogen peroxide 6%: only black post-painted ceilings show minor visual changes, no visual changes are observed on other ceilings
• Ethanol 70%: only white pre-painted, black post-painted, and wood finish ceilings show minor visual changes, no visual changes are observed on other ceilings

This is also valid for all pre-painted/post-painted steel or aluminum products in the ALPHA, ALPHA PLUS, and DECIBEL ranges.*exposure according to EN 12720; disinfection and wet abrasion according to ISO 11998

• Grid installation: hanger spacing 1200 mm with wall start at 300 mm and carrier spacing 1200 mm with a 300 mm overhang of the strip. Recommended edge trims.

• Outdoor installation: please contact us to determine the spacing required based on the selected linear strip, specifying the degree of wind and corrosion exposure according to the project's implementation characteristics. The installation company must then submit the project for approval by the client.
• Generally plan for 0.5 to 1 m spacing between hangers and carriers, a rigid tubing with a minimum of one hanger for every two between the fixing support and the carrier, as well as washers at the points of contact between threaded rod and carrier.
• Exclude background gap cover.
