Lyon Metro Bellecour and Part-Dieu Stations
Lyon, France
THE PROJET:
As part of the renovation project for the Part-Dieu and Bellecour metro stations, which opened in 1978, the city of Lyon called on Plafometal to design a metal ceiling solution adapted to the specific characteristics of these high-traffic areas with low ceilings.
CUSTOMER NEEDS:
- Restrict access to the plenum
- Impact resistance
- Aesthetic solution
- Acoustic comfort
OUR RESPONSE:
Trays custom-designed by the Plafometal design office, securing access to the plenum by making it accessible only with a tool to prevent any passenger from dismantling the trays or damaging them.
Secure access bin
- These closed-joint trays, which reduce access for maintenance services, create a directional effect and reduce the risk of light leakage. The product dimensions were adapted to the client's needs.
- Metal has the advantage of being robust and durable, making these trays ideal for high-traffic areas such as subway corridors.
Product advantages:
- Impact-resistant
- Easily removable with a tool and independent of one another, the trays allow full access to the plenum.
- Custom-developed solution
- Greater intelligibility: sound absorption αw = 0.80
