Caracteristics & Performance

Caracteristics & Performance

Acoustic absorption

  • αw up to 1 (NRC = 1.00) with the ALPHA PLUS range (with bagged insulation)

Découvrez notre video "Les plafonds métalliques acoustiques" dans la rubrique Documentations/Videos.

Acoustic filling

  • ALPHA PLUS offer: a specific insulated material bagged to be installed on the back of perforated ceilings.

The acoustical performances of ceiling systems are guaranteed for defined, controlled, and fully delivered products by PLAFOMETAL.

Light Reflexion

  • Up to 87%.

Fire reaction

According to standard EN 13501-1

Euroclass A1 for pre-coated non-perforated products.

Euroclass A2-s1,d0 for:

  • Non-perforated powder-coated products
  • Products from the ALPHA PLUS range

Chemical resistance

Metal ceilings are resistant* to sodium hypochlorite 2.5%, hydrogen peroxide 6%, or ethanol 70% disinfectants. However, we recommend specific disinfectants based on the type of ceiling:

  • Sodium hypochlorite 2.5%: no visual changes on all ceilings
  • Hydrogen peroxide 6%: only black post-lacquered ceilings show minor visual changes, no visual changes are observed on other ceilings
  • Ethanol 70%: only white pre-lacquered, black post-lacquered, and wood finish ceilings show minor visual changes, no visual changes are observed on other ceilings

This also applies to all pre-lacquered/post-lacquered steel or aluminum products from the ALPHA, ALPHA PLUS, and DECIBEL ranges. *exposure according to EN 12720; disinfection and wet abrasion according to ISO 11998

Résistance mécanique

For outdoor wind resistance, according to Eurocodes 0, 1, 3, and 9:

  • Using the PM300-HR versions (high-strength material quality) allows for possible spacing between I-HR carriers up to 2100 mm depending on the project layout characteristics and wind exposure level.
  • Contact us to determine the required spacing based on the mechanical resistance of the selected material quality, indicating the wind and corrosion exposure level according to the project layout characteristics.

Environment and health

  • Our ceilings are 100% infinitely recyclable.
  • They are durable, easy to maintain, non-dust, particle, or vapor-generating, inert, and odorless.
  • They do not promote microbial growth and do not emit VOCs and formaldehydes.
  • This product has a verified Environmental and Health Declaration Sheet (FDES), downloadable from the website www.inies.fr or in the section Documentations.

Type of installation

  • Outdoor clipped installation

Implementation

  • Outdoor clipped installation following installation guide

Disassembling for access to the plenum

  • Opening of the panels by using specific tools to insert for pushing the H clip and releasing the panel individually. For more details, refer to the installation guide or contact us.

Pose en extérieur

Installation is facilitated by large spacings, the removal of the primary structure, and the use of a "stepless" carrier. The use of I-HR carriers and 4mm thick stainless steel HR sliding hangers allows for the following maximum configuration:

  • Suspension spacing of 1800 mm and carrier spacing of 2100 mm (applicable for a dynamic wind pressure of 500 N/m² *).

In all cases, the ceiling must be protected from rain and runoff.

* Contact us to determine the required spacings based on the mechanical resistance of the chosen PM300 panel material, specifying the degree of exposure to wind and corrosion according to the project's layout characteristics. The installation company must then submit their project for approval by the client.
